Cloroprene Rubber (Contact Adhesive)

Contact adhesives are gernally solvent-based dispersions, for use in different application areas of lamination and bonding.
Contact adhesives have good adhesion to metal, timber, mdf and plastics and find therefore end use in many industrial applications. Typically they should be applied to both substrates being boinded

Fortis Adhesive and Coatings have a range of contact adhesives to suit most requirements. In many cases we can custom-tailor for each individual customer to meet specific requirements and performance criteria.

Polyurethane (PUR) adhesives

Polyurethane (PUR) adhesives are produced in many grades such as one-component, two-component, dispersion and solvent-based, for use in different application areas.
PUR adhesives have good adhesion to wood, metal and plastics and find therefore end use in many industrial applications.

Fortis Adhesive and Coatings manufacture many different types of PUR adhesives in Australia for use in the wood, construction and other manfuacturing industries.

PUR adhesives are cold-setting adhesives with high cure rate.
The one-component type (FORTIS AD 5105 series) that is used in the wood industry cures very fast and gives a glue line with high strength. For optimum use Fortis recommend a suitable glue spreader unit.

Fortis’s PUR adhesives can in many cases be custom-tailored for each individual customer to meet specific requirements and performance criteria. Fortis’s PUR adhesives are capable of meeting the various performance criteria required by different standards such as ASTM and DIN.

Solvent based polyurethane adhesive for stainless to timber and composite lamination- spray or brush applied

Two component polyurethane adhesive for FRP lamination for truck bodies and recreational vehicles.

Epoxy

7. FORTIS AD822
Universal 100% Epoxy clear resin adhesive - for enhance adhesion to wood, glass reinforcing and other laminating composites. Suitable for use as a laminating resin, or suitably thickened, as an adhesive. It can be thinned on site with meths to give a fast curing low smell seal to concrete substrates to effect a moisture vapour barrier.
